Florida Collegiate Education Services provides four integrated support areas for families. Administrative Services guides parents through educational planning with Choice Navigator support, including curriculum evaluation and consultation. Academic Services offer structured coaching and accountability to help students manage coursework and build strong academic habits. High School and Dual Enrollment courses help students complete high school and dual enrollment coursework. Academic Tutoring delivers subject-specific, one-on-one support to reinforce learning and address individual academic needs. We work with all grade levels (K-12) and college planning.

Administrative Services

The following services fall under StepUp Choice Navigator Services, which are non-instructional educational consulting services that assist families in understanding, evaluating, and planning educational options. These services are advisory in nature and do not include direct instruction, grading, or the issuance of academic credit.

  • Curriculum Evaluation – A structured review of parent-selected educational materials or course content to assess alignment with stated academic goals, grade-level expectations, and general educational standards. This service provides feedback and observations but does not approve, certify, or assign academic credit.
  • Curriculum Consulting Session – A time-limited advisory meeting focused on discussing a student’s academic needs, educational goals, and available instructional options. Consulting sessions provide guidance and clarification for parents but do not include instruction, assessment, or teaching of academic content.
  • Curriculum Recommendations Report – A written planning document that outlines potential curriculum options, resources, and organizational considerations based on parent-provided information. Recommendations are informational only and do not constitute endorsement, placement, or accreditation.
  • Educational Planning – The process of organizing academic pathways, timelines, and course selections to support a student’s educational progression. Educational planning services are consultative and do not replace parental responsibility for instructional decisions.
  • Follow-Up Communication – Written correspondence provided after a consulting service to summarize discussed options or next steps. Follow-up communication is informational and does not include instruction, evaluation of student performance, or academic decision-making.
  • Email Support – Limited, short-form communication intended to clarify prior recommendations or address logistical questions related to educational planning. Email support does not include instructional assistance, tutoring, or content delivery.

High School and Dual Enrollment Courses

High School Courses

High school courses are offered online, including scheduled live virtual instructional sessions led by a qualified instructor. Courses follow a defined scope and sequence and require students to complete assignments, assessments, and instructional activities as outlined in the course syllabus. Academic credit is issued by the appropriate enrolling school or educational authority, not by Florida Collegiate Educational Services, unless otherwise stated.

Dual Enrollment Courses

Dual enrollment courses are college-level courses offered in partnership with Southeastern University (Lakeland, FL) and include scheduled live virtual instruction delivered by a college-approved instructor. Course content, assessments, grading, and academic credit are governed by the partner institution. Successful completion may result in transferable college credit and may also satisfy high school graduation requirements in accordance with applicable Florida Department of Education guidelines.

If students choose, they earn an A.A. in General Education from Southeastern University. Courses vary by semester. Not all students are required to earn an A.A., but they must earn dual-enrollment credits during their junior and senior years of high school.

Tutoring

Academic tutoring is offered at $75 per hour, consistent with prevailing Florida rates for high school and college-level academic support. Tutoring services are subject-specific and provided separately from academic coaching and instructional coursework.

K-8 Tutoring

Looking for academic support for younger students? Florida Collegiate Education Services also offers K–8 academic tutoring, providing one-on-one, subject-specific support designed to strengthen foundational skills and build confidence.
